Top of Utah 1/2 Marathon.

Saturday morning my sisters ( shay and dana) and I ran the Logan 1/2 marathon. It was awesome. This was my sister Shaylee's first race experience. While training we told her we didn't care about our time we just wanted her to finish . Come race day, I told her we just needed to finish under 2 hours. She was a little stressed, but she did awesome. We stayed together the hole time. At mile 11 shay started to get really mad at Dana and I because we were pushing her to keep going. She wanted to walk , but of course we wouldn't let her. I was feeling good so I took off and tried to finish strong. My time was 1:55:30. I was so happy with my time. Dana came in next at 1:56:43 and then shay came in at 1:57:20.. We did great. It was so fun to be there and watch her reach her goals. She has come along ways from a year ago. I was so proud of her. I am looking forward to the many more races we will all be doing together again. I know it's nerdy but we ran in the same tops. We were the ladies in pink, Or triple D's as Randy called us.

My cousin Sara, this was her first race also. She had a great race time also. I think she came in at 2:09. She did awesome. It was fun to be there with her as she accomplished her goal also. Way to go SARA!!!!

Way to Go Shay!! You finished! You did AWESOME. We are all so proud of you. Keep up the great work.

Here's the running group. My cousin on the end is 11 weeks prego. She wasn't going to run it, 10 minutes before they were ready to go she decided she would run it. She hadn't trained since July and the most she trained was 8 miles. She did Awesome, she only had to pee 5 times and stop for a snack once. ha ha

It was a great time. I can't wait until we can do more races. Maybe next time Randy can run with us. He signed up to do this one but he had to work, we missed you Randall.. Thanks to our husbands who supported us and let us go and run all our long runs. Thanks Jon for driving all the way up to Logan to watch us finish. Your a great fan.

First Day of School

Back to school for kobe. He is in 2ND grade now. I can't believe how fast time goes by. It seems like he just got out of preschool. He was really excited to go today. He woke up at 7:25 ready to get in the shower and head off to school. As he was putting all his new things on he says; " Yep these all look like 2ND grade to me." I had to laugh. He was so embarrassed when he got to his class and got to meet his teacher for the first time. He came home and told me all about his day. The best part was that the changed the way they do the lunch. You can now sit by anyone you want, and then after lunch you get to go out and play. So he said he had 3 bites of everything and then went and played with Colten and Kolby ( his 3rd grade buddies) . I think that's why he came home and we had to cook a pizza to hold him over until dinner because he was starving!!

Happy 5th Birthday Bennett.

I can't believe Bennett is already 5. Times goes by so fast. I can remember bringing him home from the hospital. He has been such a sweet little guy. He is so tender hearted. He is such a daddy's boy. He loves to work outside and do exactly what daddy is doing. I will ask him if he likes something and his reply is always, "Does daddy like it? If he does then I do. " Some of the funny things he has said and done over the years: holy cap, Poor little fella, Geese what were you thinking, he's famous for saying yea well who cares. He calls lighting lightming. He is deathly afraid of thunder and lighting. When he was little he would rub his belly button while drinking his chalky( that's what he would call chocolate milk.) If he couldn't get t o his button he would freak out. He calls marsh mellows smarshmellos. We would tell him his eyes are no longer brown and he would fall for it every time. He would run to the bathroom and check to make sure. He has had many nick names over the years: Bubbie, lover, brown eyes, Schlubbie, Schlub, riffies, Bendedo, he says him and daddy are poop brothers ( don't ask me where that came from) . He used to call Randy's mom grandma Kobe. It took us forever to figure it out . One day I asked him why he calls her that and he said well duh mom, I have my own grandma ( which is my mom grandma Bennett) so Kobe needs his own grandma. So he calls her grandma Kobe. He loves sponge bob, and Phineas and Pherb. He loves dinosaurs, and he loves to watch the land before time movies, we have a huge bin full of dinosaurs. He loves them all. That's where his famous Mohawk came from. He wanted to look like Alidair from the Dinosaur movie, so ever since then that's how he likes to wear it. He is so easy to buy for, Most times Randy and I will look for the dumbest little toy and it will be his favorite. . One time my mom took him to walmart and told him he could pick anything out under $10.00. He came home with a $1.00 rubber chicken, and he carried it around for weeks. He loves stuffed animals. Last year for Christmas he wanted a stuffed giraffe. He is so funny. He is turning out to be quiet the soccer player. He will play offense and then come back and play defense, it's great. His little knobby knees go as fast as they can go. We are proud of him, and we are so thankful to have him in our family.

Some of our pictures over the year: I'm bummed cause I can't get to his baby pictures cause they are stored somewhere in our storage shed.

Ears pierced.

Ash has been bugging me for the last month to get her ears pierced. So while we were in park city we decided we would do it. Here are some of the pictures. It was kinda funny, she thought she was so cool, until they did it. She was pretty tough though.

This was her being prepped to get it done. She was sitting there so calm, cool , and collective. It was pretty funny.

This was taken right after they were done. I did feel bad for her. But by the time we were paying for everything she had stopped crying and was telling everyone how beautiful she was with her earrings.

Park City... Again

We just got back from Park City with my family. We went Thursday and got back Sunday. It was great. My parents rented two condo houses for everyone. It was so fun to hang out and do what ever we wanted . The kids loved hanging out in our hot tub, Even though it was warm outside. We went hiking, bike ridding, shopping, watched T.V, swam in the pool, sat in the hot tub, read books, had a BBQ, hung out, little girl talk here and there. I love hanging with my family. It was a blast. The kids had a good time. Brittney taught Bennett how to ride his bike without training wheels.

We had our annual Phase ten game that lasts FOREVER, or until one gets pissed and stops playing. Yes although we love each other very much we all are very competitive and hate to lose, or be skipped!! ha ha

Doesn't he look so happy to be there?? Randy is not use to having a full day off, let alone 3 days off. It was fun to have him all to myself. We turned our phones off and just hung out together. It was so much fun. I loved being able to spend every minute with him. He was probably ready to get back to work.

My dad, Dana , Taylor and Jon. Notice all the sour patch kids in front of Dana.. ha ha I would dare say those are her favorites.. You can't play cards without treats..

My brother Brett and his wife Megan. Brady is getting tired I think. He was starting to get delirious and laugh at anything and everything.

The kids were suppose to be downstairs watching their movie but as soon as they noticed all the treats we had that's where they all wanted to be. Try playing card games with 12 kids hanging around the table.

It's not a vacation unless you get to have a nice big bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub!! The kids loved this. We had a ton of bubbles in the tub. The kids would turn the jets on the make more bubbles. They had a huge bubble fight, bubbles were everywhere. I should have taken a better picture. It was great.

Thanks Mom and Dad for making this fun , relaxing vacation possible. We look forward to next year.

Reptile Party

My mom had a Reptile party for all the grand kids. It was so much fun. There were snakes, lizard's, turtles, and spiders. The kids loved it. We all had a great time. Thanks mom the kids are still talking about it.

The guy who did the party was Awesome. He was really good with the kids, he kept their attention, told great stories, and was really funny. Yes, in this picture he is putting the scorpion in his mouth. CRAZY!!

Kobe got to volunteer to hold this Lizard. I was really surprised he would do that. It was pretty funny. The hole time he was sat there and watched the lizard, he would not take his eye off him. As you can tell in this picture he was really nervous.

This was a BOA con stricter that he had. OK so I would never do this. He wrapped the snake around Brittney and Jaxon. Poor little Jaxon, the snake kept going up on his head. It was really creepy. As you can tell I don't like snakes!

This snake was huge. It weighed 130 lbs. This was the only thing Bennett would do. He would only hold the snakes tail. He would not got near the head. It was pretty funny how careful he was.

He had so many cool things. It was really interesting and fun. I would really recommend this party to anyone. It was a lot of fun.

Swimming..

My kids love to swim at Aunt Paula's house. She's so nice to let us come over when ever we want and swim. My kids would rather go swim at her house than the Aquatic center. They have a really nice pool, and a awesome pool house! Thanks Paula and Steve for letting us come and swim all the time.
