Were going to DISNEYLAND!!!

Merry Christmas!!!
Kobe was up and grabbing anything to throw on. Notice how awake he was. His shirt was on backwards and he didn't even notice.
Bennett just wanted to get out to the tree. He didn't care what happened. He was bugged that I had to take their pictures.
Sleeping Beauty finally woke up. It takes her a while to get going in the morning. She is not a morning person.
The boys had no problem jumping in and unwrapping everything. Ash was very timid at first. She wouldn't open anything. Finally Grandma Carlson was able to get her going. Once she started she didn't look back. It was really cute, when she got clothes she would say; " Oh I am going to look Wonderful." The boys on the other would just throw them over to their pile.
So I guess this means he has had a great and long day. We couldn't find Bennett. Last we knew he was upstairs showing Grandpa Carlson his new dinosaur. Randy went to find him , and this is what we found. Bennett loves his grandpa. They have a special bond. We are so lucky to be able to live here with them.
This is how our little house looked at the end of the day. These pictures do not do it justice! It was a wreck.. But that's what Christmas is all about, playing with your toys all day long, no chores, lots of candy, and taking a nap!
We had a great Christmas!! We hope all of our family and friends had a great day also. Merry Christmas!!

Kobe the sales man.
Kobe came home yesterday and said his school was selling cookie dough and a few other things, and he wanted to know if he could ask Grandma and Grandpa if they wanted to buy some. Sure, no big deal. He goes upstairs where grandma and grandpa are eating dinner. Nile happened to be scrapping the last of the peanut butter. Kobe says, " Have you ever been without food, or gone hungry?" Nile said yeah actually I'm out of peanut butter, Kobe being the quick thinker he is says, " Boy do I have the thing for you?" You can buy these peanut butter bears for only 5 dollars. And grandma have you ever wanted to taste the world's finest chocolate, if so I have the thing for you too. " They told him what they thought sounded good, and off he went to write it down. He went back up a little while later and told them he had them down for those two things, and wondered if they wanted cookie dough also.
Needless to say, he has called all my family, and some friends. He loves to get involved, when it comes to a prize that benefits him. Thanks to everyone who bought " Something " from him.

Private!
Okay, so I think by the first of Dec we are going private. Please if you would like to continue to read along leave me your e-mail. I will check it often and delete as often as I can. I have really pondered about this, and I don't want to put my kids in any unnecessary danger. I hope I'm just being silly, but its such a crazy world we live in and the risks are not worth it. :)

Randy's Elk..
Okay so here it is. This stupid thing made us have a weeks worth of torture. We are glad that he was successful and even better that he's home with us. I don't have to worry to much about having it hanging in my house yet. As most of you know I don't have a house. But he did however take it to get mounted. So I am sure I will have to give in and except that creature as a wall decoration. Oh well. Nice job babe!! We are proud of you. CAUTION: If you have a week stomach you might not want to look at the pictures!
Notice his bloody hands in the back ground? Knowing Randy, he ate his nasty oyster's after he gutted his elk. That's making my stomach turn just by thinking about it.

Spare Key!
Okay so what good does a spare key do if it's up hunting with Randy?? Not much! Today I was at my mom's house we were getting ready to go, I sent the kids out to the car so I could round everything up and leave. While I am trying to get everything together, Ash ( my little darling) is out in the car honking like crazy. Bennett comes in all stressed out cause she is going to ruin our honker ( his exact words) . So I go out there as Ash is shutting the door. She has this big smile on her face and she says, " Ha ha I locked your car, so you can't get in." Sure enough, she locked the doors, with the keys inside. So me, being the mom of the year, spanked her butt. She laughs and says that didn't hurt, so I spanked her again, and again she says that didn't hurt either. So I gave her a LOVE tap with my foot, she says, GEES what was that for?? UGGGGG!! Will she ever get it? So my car is sitting at my mom's and she is now 1 car short! Thanks mom!! Can I tell you it has been a really long week. I can not wait until I have my husband back. Good news is he shot is ELK, and he is very happy about it. Bad news is I'm sure its gonna have to be hung up on our wall somewhere, unless I can talk him into hanging it in the garage. Hopefully he will be home soon, we are going on a week and its killing us! For Ashtyn's sake he better be home soon!!

Happy 8th Birthday Kobe!
Isn't this the cutest picture, he was only 7 months old.
I can not believe Kobe is turning 8. It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital scared to death not knowing what to do. Kobe was born at 10:01 pm on Nov 10, 2000. He weighed 8lbs 10 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was stubborn from day one. I had actually gone into labor with him on the 9Th at about 8 pm. I remember i was having contracts all day long, I had our house cleaned, the grocery shopping done, and the truck cleaned by 9:00 am. Randy came home from work around 5 and we still had to go and get Kobe's dresser from RC Willey's. We went and picked it up and brought it to our house. Randy looked at me and said, Do you really want to go into labor tonight? Yes are you kidding me. So he said, help me carry this in the house and unpack it. Okay!! We carry it in the house, I get it all situated while Randy gets in the shower. Man, was I starting to hurt even more. But I was young and dumb, I just thought I hurt my back while lifting it in the house. My sister Shay called and was talking to me, she noticed that every couple of minutes I would tell her to hold on while i grunted and held my breath. She told me I was in labor and needed to get to the hospital. Randy got out off the shower and seen me laying on the bed and knew it was that time. We rushed to the hospital. Of course my doctor was out of town so they gave me some medicine to make me comfortable and said they would be back in the morning. Neither one of us were able to sleep. My doctor finally came in around 9 and broke my water, ( which is very uncomfortable, and embarrassing) . HE told me I would have him by about 4 pm. Around 2:00 pm I got my epidural, and was able to sleep a little. At about 3 I was in really bad pain, I could feel everything. It was horrible!! They thought they had just missed my spine so they tried again, SO now we are on Epidural #2. It worked for about 15 minutes. I was able to lift my leg everything, so they decided to just give me a pain shot every 15 minutes. They said my metabolism burned the medicine too quick for it to work, yeah whatever! By this point it was about 6:30 and the doctor wanted me to start pushing. After pushing for 2 1/2 hours straight they realized his head ( yes his head) was too big and he was not going to be able to come out. I started dilating backwards. So at 9:00 they prepped us for an emergency C-section. Which is a hole different story! I was not numb at all, I could feel everything. I seriously thought I was going to die. I remember the look on Randy's face as he was seeing the pain I was in, and seeing the doctors hold me down and try talking to me to keep me alert and awake. But also watching his first born child come into this world. As soon as they were able to get Kobe out they knocked me out. I wasn't able to be with him for several hours after he was born. I finally remember about 2 am getting to my room and there sat Randy with Kobe in his arms. He was so proud. I on the other did not want anything to do with him. Like I said he has been stubborn from day one.

No Power.
So today we had a unique experience. Our power went out Saturday around 11:00 pm and it was out all night long. I woke up expecting the power to be back on. Much to my surprise it wasn't. I went up to talk to my mother in law to see what the plan was for church. ( since my father in law is the Bishop, i thought she would have a good idea as to what they were going to do.) She said they were planning on just doing sacrament if it doesn't come on. So back down I went to get ready. Which is kinda hard to do living in a basement and all. Luckily the only 3 rooms that have windows are the rooms we needed to be in to get ready. So we got ready, which didn't take much time for me, going to church with wet hair slicked back didn't take much effort. We got to church walked down the halls in darkness. Got to the Chapel, and all the lights we had were 2 flashlights . You had to try really hard to hear what was being said. It was really neat to be sitting there. It doesn't really matter what the circumstance are, the gospel is true. I know that times are going to get harder but we have to remember that no matter what happens we have a Savior who loves us and wants the best for us. It's amazing how lucky we are to live in this day and time.
The power did end up coming on right as we were finishing up Sacrament meeting, so we were able to go to the rest of church. My kids were hoping to go home. Oh well, this was a great experience and I'm glad we got to be there and be apart of this unique situation. It makes me realize I need to be better prepared for a major disaster,or even a minor thing like this.

Happy Halloween!
We had a great Halloween. We did our ward trunk or treat on Wednesday. So Friday we were able to have a good time and enjoy ourselves. My mom had a party for all the grand kids. She goes all out. The kids look forward to it every year. She had her house all decorated, and clues for the kids to come and find her. While they were trying to find her we had kids crying, a picture fell off the wall and broke( which was great sound effects) .Here's the all gang dressed up and ready to go inside grandma's spooky house. They were all so cute, and some scary. That would be both my boys, the wanted to the mean and gorie monsters.
I felt bad after this picture. Kobe kept telling me there was a bee in his hat. I told him there was no way possible that a bee would get through everything he had one, so I made him stay there and take the picture. After the picture he stared bawling, the BEE stung me!! I took off his hat and mask, and sure enough out flies the bee, and he had a big red lump on his head. I felt awful...
My grandma and grandpa brought the candy launcher. It shot candy way up in the air, the kids got to run and collect as much as they could. This was the highlight of the party. It was pretty cool.
Some of the action shots of the kids fighting for the candy. I love how Colton is diving for the candy. He is a crazy kid.
Ready, Set, Launch the candy Grandma and Grandpa!! After the launch, we played games, ( mainly heads up stand up.) Then Grandma treated all the kids to a kids meal at Wendy's. We had so much fun. She is such a great grandma. The kids love her little parties. Sometimes I wonder who enjoys them more, the grand kids or grandma! Thanks MOM, Your the BEST!
Last but not least, Randy and I were able to sit down and hang out with each other, even if it was for a short minute. He has been working on my parents rental. He is doing all the remodeling trying to get it done by the 15Th of Nov. He works his regular job during the day, hurries home to eat dinner and then is down at the house by 5:30 or 6. until about 1 or 1:30 . So we have not got to see each other all week long. It was a LONG week for both of us,so it was fun to have him home and join in on all the fun.

Sick
Okay, this post is for Randal. This morning he got up and got ready for work, next thing I know he is puking his guts out in the toilet. ( the worst sound to wake up to) . He went on for 5 minutes, no joke. He came into the room to talk to me, he was as white as a ghost. You could tell he did not feel good at all. My kids have all had the stomach flu this week, so its only a matter of time that we were going to get it. So I asked him if he was going to stay home and just take it easy? Yeah right, that means he would have to take a day off, or a sick day. Which he hasn't since 2004. He went to work, he said I just have a few things I need to get done then I will come home. Well here it is 3:30 and he is still at work. How in the crap can he do that? When I get the stomach flu, I am down in bed. There is nothing worse than having your stomach hurt, and throwing up. I am so thankful that I have a husband who is such a hard worker, he is truly AMAZING! He is such a work addict that not even being sick will keep him home. Thanks Rand for all you do for our family. We love you...

How sweet..
One night when I put Ash to bed I had told her I loved her and she replied, " I love you the mostest, mostest with a cherry on top." It was the cutest thing. Now whenever she tells us she loves us that's what she says. I wanted to have this on camera so I would never forget, specially when she becomes a teenager and hates us.

Is it done yet??
Ash has the hardest time when I wash what's left of her blanket. I wash it on the shortest cycle possible , but still it is too long for her to be away. She has to see it washing several times, and then when it's drying she has to keep checking it. As soon as its slightly warm, she yanks it out and starts smelling and sucking her thumb.

Snow day in OCT??
Sunday was quite the surprise for My kids. We told them it was going to snow. Bennett kept watching out the window asking when it was going to snow. When we woke him up to get ready for church the first thing is did was look to his window. Once he seen it had snow he ran upstairs to get the full view. He was so excited. His next question was, " Is it Christmas now?" So as soon as we got home from church he was out playing in the snow. I was surprised how long they stayed out there. Usually it takes longer to get all the kids dressed and ready to play in the snow, then it does that they are actually playing in it.
Kobe and Bennett made this snowman. They were so proud of it. Kobe came running in and said he needed the camera so he could take a picture of his first snowman that he made by himself. He wanted to make sure this would be on the blog. His arms are bigger than he is, along with is mouth and eyes. Its still cute though. My kids love the winter, I absolutely dread it. I hate being cold. It was a fun day, nice change. Not looking forward to whats soon to come.

Tagged Again!
Okay so I thought I have missed all the tags that always go around, oh no! I got tagged again. This time by my cute little sister in law Megs! The rules: You have to tell 6 unspectacular Quirks about yourself and then tag 6 other blogger's. This will be easy for me. Read to the end to see who I tag.. HMMM Who to tag!!
1. I get major anxiety when we drive on the freeway. I freak out!! I hate it, and I really try to not say anything but I can't help it. If a car puts on the break lights I get all tense, my heart starts to race, and I start to sweat. I would rather drive on the back roads. If I know we are going to take the freeway I will stress and worry about it all day long. I absolutely hate it!! If I'm driving its not so bad, but I still get really nervous.
2. Patience. I have none at all. If I ask Randy or the kids to do something, I want it done right now or I get pissy. This drives Randy insane. It has caused many fights. I don't know why he can't just hurry and get it done, then I wouldn't have to NAG him!! ha ha..
3. I'm addicted to Exercising! If I don't exercise I am a beast. I'm a lot better if I get to do my exercising for the day. There have been times that Randy has come home and noticed how ornery I am and ask if I've exercised, when I tell him no he will tell me to go run or something. It just keeps me sane.
4. If I start a project or something I can not quit until I finish it. It drives me NUTS! I will go all day long, sometimes I will forget to eat. I have to finish it. Even if its something stupid like spring cleaning, or even blog posts. I guess its good though, I could be my mother and have a million projects going at once.
5. I can't go to bed with a Messy house. I have to go around and pickup before I go to bed, or before Randy and I can sit down and watch our movies. I get really ornery when my house is a mess. I can not relax until its clean. Also, this is really silly. Randy can't write in the check book register because the hand writing isn't the same, or the ink might be different. It drives me crazy. I like it to all be the same. Little OCD I know.
6. I am scared of Thunder and Lightening. I absolutely hate it. I get really nervous when it storms at night. I will wake up to the lightest sound of thunder. My heart will start to race, my body freezes and I don't dare move. I will hide under the blankets. I try and wake up Randy, but that doesn't do much. Usually one of my kids will come in and I can snuggle with them. I swear that is how I will die. I will probably get struck by lightening cause I'm so scared of it. I have been since I was a kid and still am to this day.. I can't believe I am admitting it.
Now that you all think I am Weird, I tag the following friends:
1. Michelle Woj, Sorry, you said you miss all the tags to so I had to give ya another one.
2. Spencer , sorry spenner!
3. Nikole Schaffer, Welcome back to the blogging world.
4.Ashlee Wright, Since you moved. :)
5.Sara , Of course!
6. Amy Martin, Lets see what ya got! ha ha.

Kids Tag.
Thanks Ab for the kiddo tag. I have somehow managed to miss all the tags that always go around, but I am excited for this one. I think their are some things about my kids that some people don't know. So the Rules are : You have to say 5 things about your kids that people might not know, and you have to do all your kids. Check out the bottom of the post to see if I tagged you.

2. Tender Heart. He is very tender hearted. He gets his feelings hurt easily. He loves to cuddle. When he was little, when we got mad at him all we would have to do was look at him mad and that was enough for him.
3. Goal Scorer! He is an amazing soccer player. He would take the ball all the way up the field and score a goal and run back on defense. He is a really big stride when he runs. He kicks the ball really hard. He is awesome. He was the top offensive player for his team.
4. Daddy's Best Buddie. Bennett absolutely loves Randy. We will be listening to a song in the car and he will say, does daddy like this song? Cause if daddy does then I do. It doesn't matter what it is, if Randy likes it so does Bennett. He loves to go do side jobs with Randy on the weekends. Randy can do no wrong in Bennett's eyes. He wants to work at Burton Lumber just like his daddy.
5. Dinosaurs. He loves every type of dinosaurs. He watches all the land before time movies. We have a big toy bin of just dinosaurs, and he plays with them over and over. That's where his hair do came from. The movie Dinosaurs, there is a dinosaur named Aladir. He wanted to look like him so we styled his hair into the Mohawk to look Aladir, and its been with him ever since ( from about age 2) .
We love you Schlubbie..

ASHTYN 1. Diet Coke Addict. She loves her Diet Coke. Every morning she wakes up and gets her coke out. She has to have at least one every day to make her happy. This habit was formed by her daddy, not me.
2. Blankie. She use to have a cute purple flower blanket that we would always rap her up in when she was little. Now that cute blanket has turned into a piece of material, and its just a corner of the blanket. Its no longer purple it looks more black. Even after its washed. She calls it her BB. We have to take it every where we go. She sleeps with it every night.
3. Thumb. She sucks her left thumb. She has to have her blanket / corner up to her nose and then she sucks her thumb while smelling her blanket. She can't sleep without those 2 things. Randy has bought stuff to make her break this habit but I haven't had the heart to do it.
4. Dress up. She loves to dress up. She is all girl. She loves to have her nails painted, lipstick on, and her hair done. She changes her clothes probably 5 times a day. She loves to wear skirts, and dresses.
5. Hates Mornings. She is the hardest thing to wake up. She hates being woke up, and when she does get woken up she makes it hell for everyone. She will scream and carry on for at least a 1/ 2 hour. She's definitely not one that will see many sunrises.
We love you Ashy!!
This post was fun, we enjoy our 3 beautiful children. We are so thankful for them and all they do for us to complete our family. I tag the following Moms :
1. Sara Wheeler
2. Michelle Woj
3. Stacey Merrill
4. Destini Madsen
5. Megan Bennett.
Have fun, I'll be checking your blog to make sure you all do it. Ha ha ha :).
