No Power.

So today we had a unique experience. Our power went out Saturday around 11:00 pm and it was out all night long. I woke up expecting the power to be back on. Much to my surprise it wasn't. I went up to talk to my mother in law to see what the plan was for church. ( since my father in law is the Bishop, i thought she would have a good idea as to what they were going to do.) She said they were planning on just doing sacrament if it doesn't come on. So back down I went to get ready. Which is kinda hard to do living in a basement and all. Luckily the only 3 rooms that have windows are the rooms we needed to be in to get ready. So we got ready, which didn't take much time for me, going to church with wet hair slicked back didn't take much effort. We got to church walked down the halls in darkness. Got to the Chapel, and all the lights we had were 2 flashlights . You had to try really hard to hear what was being said. It was really neat to be sitting there. It doesn't really matter what the circumstance are, the gospel is true. I know that times are going to get harder but we have to remember that no matter what happens we have a Savior who loves us and wants the best for us. It's amazing how lucky we are to live in this day and time.
The power did end up coming on right as we were finishing up Sacrament meeting, so we were able to go to the rest of church. My kids were hoping to go home. Oh well, this was a great experience and I'm glad we got to be there and be apart of this unique situation. It makes me realize I need to be better prepared for a major disaster,or even a minor thing like this.

Aren't you glad it came back on though, since your man's been gone all day?! I would go crazy!
I really am going to start my blog soon! (You don't believe me!)

Wow, crazy! Why was the power out? That would be strange sitting in church in the dark. I'm gald it came back on.

That would be kind of fun to go to church in the dark. Hey what did you think about the Dolphins v. Broncos game? I almost called to rub it in because its been years since the Broncos lost that game - but I figured it wasn't really a good time. Anyway, I don't think the way the Broncos played Sunday reflects on what kind of team they are - they just had a bad game.

Way to be obedient! Sadly with 4 little kids and no power I probably would have stayed home! You are so good.
